Bareboat Charter Falmouth, Cornwall

We have a select number of boats available for bareboat charter from Falmouth and Plymouth.

 Both ports offer you the chance to explore the beautiful coastlines and rivers of South Devon & Cornwall. They are also both excellent staging posts for longer passages to the Channels Islands, Northern France & the magical Isles of Scilly.

We are on hand to offer advice before you set off. We provide you with up to date quality weather information so you can get your holiday off to a flying start.

We are also happy to pass on our local knowledge which may help with your passage planning or help you escape from the crowds, (as long as you don’t tell anyone else!!).

All boats are fully MCA coded for commercial use. We also personally survey each boat to make sure it well-found, proven, well-kept and has a full inventory on board.

Sunset over Samson You will be assessed for suitability to charter upon application. Please do not be offended by this as we have to make sure our boats are going out in good hands!

RYA qualifications, previous charter references, logbook & prior experience information are all used to determine suitability of customers.*

At Trysail we also understand that as a Skipper you have to start somewhere, so we do have a sea kindly 29ft yacht available to people with less experience. You will still be vetted but as long as you have a Day Skipper certificate, (preferable gained with us), you should be able to charter her.*

Considerations:

  • In peak season there is a shortage of yachts for charter in Cornwall. It is best to book early to avoid disappointment.
  • Usually weekly charters are from Saturday 1500hrs to Saturday 1000hrs.
  • Boats leave fully fuelled and need to be returned fully fuelled.
  • 2 Gas Bottles are supplied, one in use and one full. If you finish one, we expect you to replace it.
  • To charter our boats we are required to hold a security deposit of up to £1000 for the insurance to be valid. It will be returned 14 days after completion of the charter as long as there was no damage or losses and the boat was returned clean and tidy.
  • Weekend Charters: 60% of weekly charter rate
  • Mid-week Charter rate: One 5th of weekly charter rate per day.
  • 25% Deposit required with Balance & Security Deposit due 4 weeks prior to charter.
  • Wet weather gear available at £15 per set per week or £3 per day.
