Falmouth School of Sailing

At Trysail we are proud to work very closely with Rob Thurston, Principal of the Falmouth School of Sailing.  He shares our passion for quality training and safety on the water.

We both offer different elememts of the RYA training program.  Between us though, we offer the full range of practical training courses from dingy's, keelboat and powerboats to cruising yachts and larger motor boats.

 Rob also offers shorebased theory courses and some complementry courses that we do not, including: Diesel Engine Maintainance - First Aid - Sea Survival.

 Falmouth School of Sailing is a friendly and long-established sailing and powerboating training and chartering school located on the Fal Estuary, in the historic maritime town of Falmouth.

Falmouth School of Sailing is a fully RYA and AALA accredited school offering advanced and beginners powerboat courses as well as advanced and beginner’s keelboat and dinghy-sailing courses.

All sailing and powerboat instructors are RYA qualified. Courses range from intensive 2-5 day courses to all-year round youth and adult education courses.

Equipped with dinghy’s, powerboats and keelboats, the school also offers boat chartering all year round and provides a twice weekly advanced and beginners youth club for young people aged 8-17 years.

Falmouth School of Sailing is located at the Watersports Association next to the National Maritime Museum, Cornwall.
